HARMAN’s DigiTech today introduced the Spring Tank reverb pedal for the iStomp™ downloadable pedal that is now available from the DigiTech Stomp Shop app on the Apple® App Store. The Spring Tank pedal is a stereo spring reverb effect that provides guitar players with the distinctive “boing” sound that has been the signature tone of most surf and Hawaiian music. The Spring Tank pedal provides a rich spring reverb effect much like those found in vintage amplifiers. It is a pedal and tone unique to DigiTech and unlike single knob reverb effects found in guitar amps, the Spring Tank provides more control and tone variations. Players have the option of using four separate knobs on the Spring Tank to control Reverb, Boing, Twang and Tone. The pedal has a cool, unusual design, with the look of a coil spring reverb tank in the form of a classic stompbox.
The Spring Tank pedal is the latest pedal added to the Stomp Shop app for use with the iStomp downloadable pedal. The Stomp Shop debuted in January 2012 with an initial line of 22 pedals. After adding two additional pedals in February, and with the introduction of the Spring Tank pedal as well as the new Sound Off pedal, the Stomp Shop now has a total of 26 pedals ranging from US$1.99 to US$9.99. Each month DigiTech continues to add new pedals to the pedal line to bring guitar players fresh new options. Using the digital download format for the iStomp allows DigiTech to put many new and unusual pedals into guitar players’ hands vey quickly.
