DigiTech is releasing one new e-pedal for its iStomp compact pedal every week throughout the month of September in its "Stomptember" campaign.
The DigiTech iStomp is an entirely new concept in pedals. It works just like a traditional stompbox with one huge exception. It can be completely reconfigured by loading it with any of the 37 (and growing) e-pedals available in the Stomp Shop app.
The first Stomptember e-pedal released was the Unplugged acoustic Simulator. Unplugged transforms your electric guitar into an amazing dreadnought acoustic without the need for any special pickups. Forget having to lug an extra guitar to your next gig that you may only use for a single song or song intro, with Unplugged you can use your favourite electric and seamlessly switch to an acoustic sound with the tap of a switch. Next up was the Snake Charmer Tremolo. The Snake Charmer takes the tremolo to a new level offering cutting edge features that breathe new life into this classic. For starters, Snake Charmer has three different waveforms to craft your tremolo sound - Triangle provides linear amplitude modulation, Sine produces a more pronounced effect, and Square which gives you modern instant on/off signal states. Now add in our exclusive Spread knob which gradually turns amplitude modulation into a writhing, panning frenzy, and you will find Snake Charmer is a must have effect on your pedalboard.
This week comes the Freeze Wah. Users of wah wah pedals know there is a sweet spot they can set their pedal at to really cut through during solos. The Freeze Wah consistently gives you that perfect half-cocked wah sound every time by manually setting the wah 'pedal' position ahead of time. No more rocking and hunting for the right sound in the middle of the song. Just set the POSITION knob where it sounds best and simply turn the Freeze Wah on and off. Extra controls for bandwidth (Q) and Boost level make the Freeze Wah an invaluable addition to your effects chain.
