Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of the Washburn Forrest Lee Jr. Acoustic Bender Guitar (WDFLB26SCE).
Available from next week, the Washburn Acoustic Bender brings slide and pedal steel style country licks to the acoustic world. With almost no aesthetic alterations to the guitar at all, players will be able pick and bend their riffs in style.
The Forrest Lee Jr. Acoustic Bender has a dreadnought body shape with rosewood back and sides, and includes a Fishman® Isys+ Tuner/Preamp. The guitar features a solid cedar top and a striking abalone rosette, purfling and back stripe. It has a mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard. A mahogany bridge and nubone nut and saddle complete this truly original acoustic guitar.
The 'B-bender' mechanism allows the player to bend the B- string up a full step with a simple push down on the neck. This allows the player to simulate pedal steel type bends. Benders have been available on electric guitars since 1968, but the Washburn Acoustic Bender marks the first time this type of device is available in a full production acoustic guitar.
The Washburn Forrest Lee Jr. Acoustic Bender is available from next week at £768 RRP.
