- #SoundTechSessions -
Late last week we announced a brand new and exciting video series entitled ‘Sound Technology Sessions’. We are thrilled to be able to launch such a feature and to be in a position to highlight the talented artists whom we currently work with. Sound Technology Sessions is a great opportunity for us, it allows us to not only promote artists and products but also to get a true understanding of how they feel about the products they are performing with.
- Washburn WP21SENS -
Take a sneak peak at the stunning new Washburn Parlor Series WP21SENS. On its way out for review, the WP21SENS features beautiful rosewood back and sides with pearl dot fingerboard inlays.
It has a 24.75” scale and feature a natural stain finish, solid cedar top supported by quarter sawn scalloped sitka spruce bracing, abalone rosette and standard Washburn rosewood bridge. The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 44mm nut and gold open gear tuners. These specs produce a nicely balanced tone perfect for fingerpicking and singer/song writers. The clarity of the parlor sized body is especially suited to recording and mic’d performance.
The addition of Fishman® Sonitone electronics make this guitar an ideal performance instrument.
- Digitech DOD Pedals -
We are excited to announce the arrival of two new Digitech DOD Pedals this week. The Gonkulator Ring Modulator and the Meatbox Sub Synth.
The updated DOD Gonkulator Ring Modulator has all of the clangy, robotic sounds of the infamous ‘90’s era original, but with a far more flexible, adjustable, carrier signal control. The adjustable carrier signal allows you to tune the ring modulation giving you the ability to go from slightly-skewed modulation to wildly, atonal chaos. But wait there is more to the Gonkulator than just off-kilter pendulous tones, the Gonkulator is actually two effects in one! The Gonkulator has an aggressive distortion circuit to further mangle your guitar’s signal.
Answering the call of low frequency freaks everywhere, the DOD Meatbox is an updated take on the cult favourite Meatbox from the ‘90s. As a bass subharmonic synthesiser and low-end enhancer, the Meatbox can produce a range of sounds from a slight thickening to a full-on, low-end assault! Use the Meatbox on bass guitars, extended-range guitars, synths, even drum machines and push all the air out of any room. If you’re looking for a new way to move your audience, look no further.
Both pedals’ modern 9V DC power supply input also makes them completely pedalboard friendly.
- In House Productions -
We have another Sound Technology Demo to release on Thursday to support our #TuneIn feature. Sticking with DOD pedals, we have not one, but two videos to release this week.
As with both #TutorialTuesdays and #TuneIn Thursdays we welcome your input. If there is something you would like to see, or you have spotted a tutorial somewhere you believe would be beneficial, or in fact have made one yourself, we would love to see them, just @soundtechuk or email us and there’s a chance they will be featured on the relevant day.
