Sound Technology Ltd, the new UK distributor of Crush Drums & Percussion, hosted a trade / press launch at their demo facility in Letchworth Garden City yesterday, Tuesday 4th June.

Founded in the USA in March 2010, Crush Drums & Percussion is a young, driven company, created by drummers for drummers. In the two years since its official launch at Winter NAMM 2011 Crush has built an impressive reputation and established itself amongst artists and in key retailers in the USA.

Crush CEO, co-founder, and head designer Terry Platt was on hand to personally showcase the kits and talked at great length about the unique Crush design philosophy. His knowledge and infectious enthusiasm was immediately apparent for all to see as he described the story behind Crush, the thinking behind the unique features of the kits, and the outstanding attention to quality control.

Another highlight were the performances by Crush artist Jay Postones from UK band Tesseract. Their new album 'Altered State' was released last week reaching number 3 in the iTunes Metal Chart.Jay played two tracks, Of Mind: Nocturne (from 'Altered State') and April (from debut album 'One'). Jay kindly spent time afterwards with the gathered trade and press attendees to answer questions and show them round his very own Crush setup.

A range of demo kits were on show including the new Sublime Maple E3, Limited Reserve Birch, Limited Reserve Mahogany, Chameleon Ash, Chameleon Birch, Acrylic and a selection of snares.

Crush Drums will be available in the UK in September 2013.
