Sound Technology Ltd is the exclusive UK/ROI distributor of some of the best known and well respected brands in the pro audio industry including the Harman Professional portfolio of AKG, BSS, Crown, DBX, JBL and Soundcraft. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Project Team, the technical backbone of our installed audio and engineered sound system solutions.
The Project Engineer's role is to liaise with and supply technical proposals for potential projects involving Harman Professional products along with price quotations and product demonstrations to customers, audio consultants, architects and other organisations. Our Project Engineers provide technical quotations for projects including any necessary acoustical plots, suggested equipment and pricing. Where necessary our Project Engineers will assist with the commissioning of audio systems. The role also involves provision of technical support and training for Harman Professional products both office-based and in the field.
The ideal candidate will be educated to graduate level in an audio, acoustic or engineering degree or related subject. They will have at least 5 years proven experience within an audio environment and a full understanding of the installed audio and engineered sound markets. Experience with AutoCAD and EASE (or similar acoustic modelling software) is advantageous, together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and provide exceptional customer service.
The role is based at our Letchworth Garden City office - the successful candidate should either be located within sensible commuting distance of Letchworth, or be prepared to relocate. Travel is also involved throughout the UK and Ireland and the successful candidate must have a full driving license.
