Optimal Combination of Precision and Power for Cinema Environments
Providing smooth coverage and enabling precise positioning to produce truly immersive sound, HARMAN’s JBL Professional is introducing the 9300 Series Surround loudspeakers at ShowEast 2015. Featuring two new models, the 9300 and 9310, the 9300 Series features new transducer technologies, waveguide design and horn designs. The result is studio-quality performance and pattern control tailored to modern theater dimensions and applications.
The JBL 9300 Surround Series High Frequency Horns feature JBL Image Control Technology and asymmetric pattern control guided by exclusive Wave Shaping Vanes. Integral to the 9300 Series’ design, Wave Shaping Vanes distribute acoustic energy in proper proportion to the room. This technique provides a wave front that is sculpted to the room’s geometry and provides very precise coverage capability. Both models provide uniform, asymmetric 60-degree vertical coverage and 110-degree horizontal coverage. They also feature three separate horizontal mounting planes at 15-degree angles for specific positioning to improve coverage.
The JBL 9300 and 9310 loudspeakers each feature a high-power, long-throw 250mm (10 inch) low-frequency driver for smooth extended bass response. The high-frequency section uses a 25mm (1 inch) composite diaphragm compression driver with high output capability. The 9300 model offers 250W power handling, while the 9310 model offers 350W.
Input terminals are located on the top of both cabinets for easy access. The unique molded, black textured enclosure with open high-frequency horn and black grille will enhance any décor.
Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
