For VTX A-Series, next-generation transducers were engineered from the ground up by JBL for linear performance, high output and consistent coverage. Together, their custom-designed low-, mid-, and high-frequency sections deliver the highest output per weight, improved low-frequency extension, and tight directivity that ranges from 90 – 120 degrees to match the application of each loudspeaker. In addition, physical design refinements integrate more drivers into smaller, lighter cabinets for reduced overall system weight and truck friendly dimensions, and a revolutionary rigging and suspension system speeds your deployment time. SMOOTH, EVEN COVERAGE IN ANY SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

With VTX A-Series systems, every seat in the house is a sweet spot: the A12 and A12W exhibit 90-degree and 120-degree dispersion patterns respectively down to 250 Hz, while the A8 exhibits a 110-degree dispersion pattern down to 300 Hz. All VTX A-Series speakers feature tight adherence to their dispersion patterns, which keeps the sound where you want it: off the stage and in the audience. And because all three models use the same HF compression driver, waveguide technology and other components, this ensures you uniform, consistent coverage with the flexibility to design systems that match the needs of whatever listening environment your are specifying for.

NEW HIGH FREQUENCY SECTION

The new high-frequency (HF) section found in the VTX A-Series features uniquely designed drivers that combine the HF phasing-plug and waveguide into one part, which helps provide better tolerances and increased sensitivity, while reducing distortion and overall weight.

ACOUSTICALLY INTEGRATED MIDS AND HIGHS

The VTX A-Series midrange drivers are integrated into JBL’s patented Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI), which positions mid-frequency drivers in the high-frequency waveguide for a seamless transition across each band and maximum transducer density.

SUPERIOR LOW FREQUENCY EXTENSION

The VTX A-Series delivers big low-frequency performance thanks to its custom lightweight, neodymium low-frequency woofer. Transducer design is based around JBL’s Differential Drive technology, featuring a dual-voice coil, dual-gap configuration that maximizes excursion, power handling and sensitivity. Coupled with flared, exponential low-frequency ports, A-Series’ new LF drivers provide low frequency extension that’s unmatched in their class.

VTX BUILD QUALITY

As you can expect from JBL, the VTX A-Series loudspeakers are made from high-quality materials and is built to withstand life on the road. They feature a new full-face, powder- and zing coated grill design that reduces the number of exposed components and protects the loudspeaker from extreme weather and road conditions. The enclosed grill helps the system achieve a higher Ingress Protection rating (IP55), and can be finished in a variety of colors to suit fixed install applications. And like every JBL Professional loudspeaker design, before it ever reaches you, VTX A-Series have our exclusive 100-hour, full-power torture test, with no performance degradation.

INNOVATIVE RIGGING AND TRANSPORT

VTX A-Series marks a giant leap forward in how the loudspeakers are rigged and transported. To facilitate quicker deployment, array elements are stacked four per vertical transporter (VT) cart in a 10-degree collapsed position. A patented auto-locking mechanism allows the selection of angles while components are on the ground; once the system is suspended, the mechanism automatically locks cabinet angles in designated positions. Angles can be set in as low as 0.25-degree increments simply by pulling and placing a pin—it’s that easy.

Numerous accessory options provide flexibility in the transportation, mounting, integration and installation capabilities of all VTX A-Series models.
