Blacklight II Bridge

High channel count Dante interface

The Blacklight II Bridge is a high channel count, ultra-low latency interface, carrying 256 bidirectional channels of 48 or 96 kHz 24-bit audio plus control data between SSL Live consoles and Dante devices on stage. Designed primarily for fixed install applications where ruggedised connections are not required, the BLII Bridge connects to the console using SSL's proprietary high density Blacklight II protocol over multimode LC fibre and to the Dante network via standard Ethernet cables (LC fibre connections also possible).

The BLII Bridge offers access to the benefits of a scalable and flexible AoIP network with seamless routing and control from the console. All connections and power supplies are redundant. The BLII Bridge can be co-located with the console or positioned on stage or in a machine room for flexibility. Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) network switches can be used to build a modular high capacity I/O infrastructure to a venue's exact requirements.
