About the Role


We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Specialist to join our Application Engineering Lighting department, to liaise and supply technical proposals for potential lighting projects involving Elation professional lighting product along with price quotations & product demonstration to clients, lighting designers, architects, dealers and other organisations. To also provide technical support and training on all Elation Professional lighting products out in the field and at the Sound Technology offices.


What you will be doing in this role


  • Provide a host of technical services to clients, customers, and colleagues in areas including, but not limited to; product demonstration, system commissioning, training, system design and fault finding.
  • Maintain a relationship with key influencers in the entertainment lighting market working with suppliers, lighting designers, consultants and key clients.
  • Developing a two-way communication system with our supplier’s technical team to ensure that distributor/supplier can work closely together on all aspects of product management.
  • Feedback information to supplier on product performance and possible new product development.
  • Develop a technical understanding of Elation and professional lighting product for the entertainment market.


What you will bring to the role


  • Competent in electrical and electronic systems and holds a relevant City and Guilds qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in working in a relevant entertainment lighting role, preferably including time spent working for a customer or competitor.
  • A good understanding of the contracting process for large architectural lighting projects including being able to identify and engage with key personnel at all levels during this process.
  • A good understanding of entertainment lighting design and be able to work with lighting designers and engineers from project inception through to a successful conclusion.
  • Has good knowledge of entertainment lighting control systems.
  • Has a good knowledge of competitors products.
