Following the release of their first ever no.1 album 'Opposites' in January, Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro have been touring extensively with four Nord Stage 2 HA88s in tow. Recent appearances include Radio 1's Big Weekend, Coachella Festival 2013 and a historic headline set at London's O2 arena.

Richard 'Gambler' Ingram was an original member of the bandOceansize, playing guitar & keyboards. Throughout a 12 year career Oceansize released 4 studio albums, a number of Ep’s/singles and were considered an explosive live act. After Oceansize split, Richard started a new project called British Theatre with Oceansize frontman/Biffy Clyro guitarist Mike Vennart. In 2012 Richard was asked to join Biffy Clyro as their touring keyboard player.
Richard told us, "The Nord Stage 2 88 is perfect for a band like Biffy Clyro who want authentic, no-nonsense keyboard sounds. Being a fan of hardware I like the fact that everything is laid out in front of you within easy reach (although editing within menus is still a breeze). I use one of the grand piano presets quite a lot, as well as more complex patches I’ve programmed for specific songs."These include multi-layered sounds and patches with keyboard splits. There isn’t a lot of switching between patches during songs but if I need to I’ll use a patch with two of the Nord's ‘slots’ so it’s very quick to switch."
Biffy Clyro are currently on tour in Europe culminating in a headline performance at Leeds and Reading Festivals in August.
