The 65 year old Chairman of Sound Technology Ltd was honoured in recognition of his services to the music industry and charity.

Robert is a Director of Music for Youth, a charity that works with thousands of young people from all over the UK, all of whom are passionate about music. We know how important it is to be actively involved in the arts from a young age – the benefits last a lifetime. To date more than 2.4m under 21 year olds participated with Music for Youth over the 40+ years the charity has been established. He is also a current director and past chairman of the Music Industries Association and a director of NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants).

Having worked in the music industry for more than 45 years, Robert is still a keen musician and continues to encourage the playing of musical instruments whenever the opportunity arises.
