Crush Drums and new UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd exhibited for the first time at the London Drum Show last weekend. Ever since it was announced that Crush was coming to the UK having only previously been available in the USA there has been a surge of interest backed with wonderful reviews. The London Drum Show was perfectly timed as Crush is due to land in dealers within the next four weeks.

Here is a short write-up from the show with pictures (apologies for the phone-only quality!).

At the show Crush co-founder and chief designer Terry Platt was on the stand to talk personally to customers as they waited patiently for a chance to try out the kits themselves.

Terry Platt commented, "I was truly honoured to be at the London Music Show and to see the response to Crush from UK drummers."

"With just a 15 minute 'loud time' every hour there were crowds of up to 50 people waiting to try the kits - some queuing for up to an hour." said Sound Technology's Aaron Dorey. "The Crush Acrylic kit was probably the star of the show but the Chameleon Ash, Limited Reserve Mahogany and the Crush snare range all received a stunning response. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and there was a palpable thirst for this new player in the UK drum market from end users, dealers and artists alike".

What was shown on the stand...

"People loved the satin finish and in particular the satin hardware of this kit. Not only was the kit played continuously throughout the weekend it was also caressed a whole lot more! It is going to take a while to get all of the fingerprints off!"

"Arguably the star of the show and certainly the talk of our stand. This kit was played so much that we had to change the heads at the end of the first day. Thank you to our neighbours at D'addario/Evans!"

"We were told numerous times that this was the best sounding kit at the show. People loved the customisable Chameleon lug and any preconceptions of what an Ash kit sounds like were quickly shattered for everybody who sat down behind it".
