Monitor engineer Ben Bannister used the Austrian Audio OD505WL1 active dynamic vocal microphone capsule on the latest Tom Grennan Tour. Here's his feedback on the mic:

"The Austrian Audio OD505 works wonders for our show and Tom’s vocal. The tight pick up pattern ensures that less stage noise from the drums enters the mic and also when Tom is in front of the PA on a thrust. Along with using IEMs, we also use wedges; with the OD505’s incredible rear rejection, I don’t have to pull out frequencies as much as I have to when ringing out the wedges."

"The OD505 has a lovely high end response which suits Tom’s voice letting it cut through the mix that little bit easier without getting that fizzling HF that other microphones can tend to have. The tonality of the mic has a lovely warm body to it as well as the great high end features, allowing the true tones of Tom’s voice to shine through. I really couldn’t fault this mic at all: sounds incredible, it’s beautifully designed, and it’s extremely durable."
