Propellerhead's Mattias Haggstrom Gerdt kicked off the event with a presentation on his personal music making tips - with an emphasis on how to work quickly and creatively. One particular focus was on the use of the sampling capability of Reason to quickly and easily create your own unique sounds to work with.
Mix engineer Gary Bromham showcased mixing techniques in Reason's large format audio console using a combination of the built-in EQ and compression on each channel, together with the new Parallel Processing in Reason 7. He described how to give weight to elements within a mix, and to the mix as a whole, using these tools alone.

Richard spoke about the element of surprise in music, using diverse elements to create organic shifting textures. One specific example included using an orchestral sample in ReDrum, which when routed as audio into Reason's Thor synthesizer via Reason's flexible routing was used to modulate various parameters of Thor, including as an unusual but brilliantly effective example, the sequence rate itself.
