MAC Aura XIP

MAC Aura XIP is a premium moving head wash light that features a radical aura filament effect. It’s Martin's latest addition to the MAC Aura family of workhorse wash lights and the first product in the market to be rated for outdoor use, with close to zero compromises in weight, size and aesthetics. It raises the bar for optical quality, featuring an even wash field with soft edges, minimal stray light, high intensity mid-air beams and improved light engine control.

12 Radical RGBW filaments deliver a brighter aura backlight effect as well as the ability to show iconic aura filaments that can also be individually controlled. Full pixel control with video mapping capabilities onto beam, aura or both promise new and exciting eye candy looks for creating intriguing stage effects.

MAC Aura XIP’s smart outdoor design combines ingenuity and efficiency by intelligently sealing vital electronics away from the elements while exposing the cooling system for a lighter, quieter and more versatile unit that can be used anywhere, anytime, reinventing the universal indoor/outdoor-rated concept.

Built to be a true workhorse, the extensive feature package of the MAC Aura XIP includes optional high CRI / TM-30 / TLCI modes and exceptionally quiet operation to benefit theater and other indoor settings. With LED frequency control it emits a flicker-free even wash light, and features green-magenta shift control to match other lights and cameras in its vicinity. The MAC Aura XIP features variable calibrated color temperature control, 200+ built-in FX macros, rapid movement and 8.8 – 49.3˚ zoom range. RGBW color mixing delivers bright and vibrant colors as well as soft pastels and white tones that are all factory-calibrated using Martin’s full gamut color calibration. It offers DMX, Art-Net / sACN / P3 connectivity for multiple control options.

Weighing just 8.9 kg, MAC Aura XIP is the smallest and lightest outdoor-rated wash light in its category, which dramatically reduces transport costs and environmental impact. It also offers easier handling and rigging with handles on the head and base, a battery-powered display and Omega bracket attachment points.

While the MAC Aura XIP offers lighting designers a range of possibilities with its aura filament effect, narrower beam and better wash quality with improved light engine control; rental customers will appreciate a workhorse that is lighter and more versatile with optical improvements and a sealed design, allowing the product to be used virtually anywhere and require less maintenance.
