Soundcraft and UK/ROI distributor Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to announce availability of the new Soundcraft Mini Stagebox range.
The Mini Stagebox range provides a simple low cost solution to provide I/O expansion for Soundcraft’s Si Expression, Si Compact and Si Performer consoles, as well as the larger models including Si1+, Si2+, Si3+, Vi1, Vi2, Vi4 and Vi6.
Unlike stagebox systems from some other manufacturers, these supplement the I/O on the console, meaning that the input and output connections to the console are actually increased rather than just moved to the stage, so that the console’s local I/O is still available.

The Mini Stagebox 32 occupies just 3U (5.25”) of rack space and provides 32 analogue inputs and eight analogue line outputs, with four pairs of AES outputs, providing a total I/O capacity of 32 inputs and 16 outputs. The Mini Stagebox 32 connects to the console using a 2-port/redundant MADI card with a choice of either Cat5 or Optical connection.

The Mini Stagebox 16 is just 2U high (3.5”) and provides 16 analogue inputs and eight line outputs making a 16 x 8 matrix. The Mini Stagebox 16 connects via a single port Cat5 MADI card.
Both models are come supplied with their stagebox card installed and the corresponding card for an Si series console included (Vi console MADI cards sold separately).
The Mini Stagebox models contain an integral PSU so are completely self-contained.
The units are part of the ViSi Connect range of interface options for all Soundcraft mixing consoles which includes a range of console option cards such as AES, CobraNet, DanteTM, and BSS BLU Link.
The Mini Stagebox 16 is priced at just £832.50 list ex VAT. The Mini Stagebox 32 Cat5 and Mini Stagebox 32 Optical both list at £1665.83 ex VAT. The Mini Stagebox 16 and Mini Stagebox 32 Cat 5 are available now, the Mini Stagebox 32 Optical version arrives later this month.
